Thursday we face off against the Seattle Sounders.

This season has been a grind, and we have not had much time to rest with all the traveling between CONCACAF and MLS regular season matches.

But hey, it’s the playoffs, and we have to suck it up, rest when we can, and play as hard and compete to win.

Coach Kinnear had this to say about it:

“I’m not worried about their fitness. I’m worried about how many games we’ve played.

We play on Thursday and the league didn’t take into account that we played on Wednesday in CONCACAF and I think that’s unfair.”

It would have been nice for the MLS to have considered allowing some time for us to rest.

After all, it is the participation in these competitions that allows the MLS reputation to build upon this exposure.

It is that time again!  Put aside your opinions about Columbus, D.C., and Houston and wave the flags of the league itself!

Round two of the Concacaf Champions League is this week and I hope we are all on the same page of hoping all three of the MLS teams advance out of there groups.

I am in Panama awaiting our game tommorrow night with high hopes and some nervous energy!  I wish the other teams good luck, we will be watching them down here in Spanish.

Make no mistake about it…every MLS team wants to win this competition!  While the prize money is nothing to write home about  the pride in being the first MLS team to win the new CONCACAF Champions League format would be unmatched.

Starting next week is the group stage, and while I am mostly concerned about the Dynamo I truly want all of the MLS team to advance!  Good luck to Columbus and D.C. United.
